Dissertation Writing Scholarships for PhD Students in International Relations, 2016-2017

CÉRIUM offers 8 scholarships to Ph.D. candidates in international studies who wish to work on their dissertation or a scientific article during a full semester (Fall 2015 or Winter 2016) at the University of Montreal. A Canadian citizen or a permanent resident are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
The overreaching aim of establishing the University of Montreal was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to all regular Ph.D. students orVisiting research students at the University of Montreal.

Study Subject: Scholarships are offered to a doctoral student wishing to realize a research project related to the field of international relations.
Scholarship Award: Students enrolled at the University of Montreal are invited to contact their department and the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies about the rules on the cumulation of scholarships.
As far as CÉRIUM is concerned, the value of grants received during the year, including the dissertation writing scholarship, must not exceed $ 20,000.

Scholarship can be taken in Canada
Eligibility: The candidate must be:
•    35 years old or less;
•    A Canadian citizen or a permanent resident;
•    Attending a full-time doctoral program in one of the four universities of Montreal :
•    Concordia University
•    McGill University
•    Université de Montréal
•    Université du Québec à Montréal.

Nationality: A Canadian citizen or a permanent resident are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
College Admission RequirementEntrance Requirements: Applicants must be 35 years old or less at the time of application.

How to Apply: The following documents must be included in the application:
  • Research project (1000 words)
  • Work program (500 words), including an abstract of the planned text (article, thesis chapter)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Status at the University of Montreal (Regular Student or Research Visitor Student)
