Commonwealth Youth Council: Inviting Organisations Dedicated towards Young People with Disabilities
The Commonwealth Youth Council is inviting applications from organizations, recognizing their endeavour towards working with young people with disabilities.
The CYC facilitates and supports the work of all youth- led initiatives and partner with suitable stakeholders, organisations and individuals to represent and empower young people in the Commonwealth.
Through its office for Inclusion and Engagement, the CYC prioritises the need for young people with disabilities in the Commonwealth to have access to equal opportunities and to ensure that their voices are represented and heard at national and international levels. Therefore the Membership Committee of the Council invites organisations working with young people with disabilities to join the Commonwealth Youth Council and ensure that no voice is left unheard.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications have to meet the following criteria:
- Organisations must be working in a Commonwealth country
- Duly registered with an authority within a Commonwealth country unless a valid explanation for lack of registration certificate is provided.
- Show proof of past experience about their work with young people with disabilities with at least a one page report about their activities
- Strategic plan about their long term activities would be an added advantage.
