ICNL Call for Applications: Asia Education Initiative (AEI) Grants

International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL), supported by USAID is seeking applicants for its AsiaEducation Initiative (AEI) Grants in order to support the study of civil society law at universities and schools of law in eligible countries in Asia. The AEI will provide grants to support the creation of an education initiative on civil society law.
Grant Information
Grants will generally be in the amount of $5,000 – $10,000, however reasonable proposals for a level of funding beyond this range will also be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
The AEI is open to any law professors, academics, and/or institutions that are located in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
Application Instructions
To apply for a grant, applicants must submit the following items in English:
- Application coversheet;
- Proposal (no more than five pages);
- Resume, curriculum vitae (CV), or other statement of work history and education (no more than 3 pages) (for individual applicants); and
- Letter of support from the educational institution or institutions where the initiative will take place

Interested applicants can apply by completing the application coversheet and submitting it, along with all required documents, to Chang Chiu by email at the address given on the website.
Eligible Countries: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
