ACME Reporting Grant 2016-2017: Inviting Uganda Journalists to Support Ambitious Story Projects
The African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME) is currently inviting Uganda journalists for its 5th, 6th and 7th round of Reporting Grant 2016-2017 with an aim to support ambitious story projects that require more than the regular newsroom facilitation to pull off.

Grant Information
ACME will award a total of 60 reporting grants with winning proposals receiving up to Shs. 1,500,000/ financial support.
Eligibility Criteria
- Print, electronic, photography and online journalists across Uganda are therefore encouraged to apply in time for the September 2016 intake.
- All grantees MUST attend a one-day induction seminar during which they will work with ACME to refine their story ideas and reporting approaches as well as be informed on the accounting requirements related to the grant.
- Each journalist who receives a grant will be expected to produce and broadcast/publish the proposed in-depth story within ten weeks from receipt of the money.
