3rd Call for Proposals: Myanmar Humanitarian Fund’s Reserve Allocation 2016, Deadline: 2 September 2016
The Myanmar Humanitarian Fund (MHF) is seeking applicants for its 3rd Reserve Allocation 2016 with an aim to ensure timely and effective humanitarian response to the highest priority needs, through humanitarian partners with demonstrated operational capacity, reach and presence.
Priority will be given to projects implemented directly by Myanmar NGOs or carried out by consortia that include Myanmar Non-Government Organizations. The MHF has set a goal to provide 80 per cent of itsfunding to NGOs, including, 50 per cent of the total amount to Myanmar NGOs.
Priority Sectors
- Education: Primary and/or post-primary education activities.
- Health: General healthcare services as well as reproductive, maternal & child health.
- Protection: General protection services, including focus on gender-based violence, child protection and mine risk education.
- Shelter: Replacement, care and maintenance of shelter units for IDPs and NFIs for the short-term displacement.
Funding information
- The Allocation size is US$3,800,000.
- The Allocation ceiling per project is Minimum US$100,000.
- The Duration of up to 9 months (with a possible no cost-extension of a maximum of three months).
Eligibility Criteria
- This call for proposals is open for grant applications from Myanmar NGOs, international NGOs, IOM andUN agencies.
- The special funding envelope for rapid response mechanisms in Kachin and Shan will offer preference to Myanmar NGOs with demonstrated capacity to act as rapid first-responders to emergency needs, particularly where access is constrained.
- Myanmar NGOs will respond through their own existing logistical and response capacities, partners and networks.
