International Girls' Health Student Writing Competition 2017! Deadline: 15 September, 2017

United Nations in East and North-East Asia and Ewha Womans University jointly opened a call for participation in the "2017 International Girls' Health Student Writing Competition". The contest is sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The selected finalists from the developing countries will receive airfare and lodging to attend the event in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Deadline to submit the writings is on 15 September 2017.
Eligibility: High school and university (undergraduate and graduate) students from any country are eligible to participate. All authors must be full-time students at the time of submission.
Participants. Individuals or teams of 2 – 4 students may submit a paper.

Categories: Participants may submit a research paper.

Topic: Problems and Solutions for Girls’ Health Worldwide.

Format: Papers that do not adhere to the guidelines may be disqualified. Document settings should be double-spaced, 12-point, Times New Roman type, standard (1-inch / 2.54-cm) margins of MS Word for English, and line spacing 160%, Shinmyungjo font, 11-point, standard (left and right 3-cm) margin of Hangul documents for Korean. Papers in English should not exceed 15 pages and be no less than 10 pages (approx. 2500 – 3500 words). Papers in Korean should not exceed 12 pages and be no less than 10 pages. References do not count towards the total number of pages.

Language: Papers must be written in English or Korean. All participants should have, at minimum, an intermediate command of spoken English or Korean (language used in your paper) in order to participate in the competition.

Entry Form: Students must submit a participation entry form by September 15th, 2017. Entry forms and paper submissions should be submitted electronically to: idhs.ewha@gmail.com. The email should have the subject header: Entry Form_[Primary Author's Name]. Entry forms will be acknowledged within one week of submission by email. Late entry forms may be disqualified.
