University of Southampton’s International Summer School 2017, Deadline: 7th April 2017
The International Summer School is a credit bearing programme which may be able to count towards your studies at your home university. If you successfully complete the assessment, 10 ECTS credits are available. The University of Southampton’s International Summer School 2017 is your chance to become fully immersed in the history and culture of Britain whilst studying at one of the world’s top 100 universities.
Should you win the International Summer School scholarship, you will be able to study up to six exciting topics drawing upon our world class research from ancient history to modern British film. Each topic is delivered by an internationally-recognised member of academic staff, working in partnership with one of our many enthusiastic, talented and knowledgeable postgraduate research students.
With the study groups size around 15 – 20 students, you will form very close working relationships, and will always have the opportunity to discuss and contribute to the intellectually challenging and rewarding material on offer. You will also visit many exciting destinations that will help bring your chosen topic to life!
Successful scholarship applicants are required to submit an official application through the Summer School at Southampton portal as a part of the admissions process. Details will be provided to shortlisted applicants.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have either completed their Bachelors degree, or be finishing their last semester.
- Applicants must fulfill all of the specific admissions criteria related to the Summer School topics they apply to.
- The scholarship is available to anyone in the world, regardless of where they live.
Prize
The winner will get a £2,000 scholarship for the programme and the chance to experience British history and culture at a University in the world’s top 1% at a fraction of the cost.
