Apply for International Reporting Fellowships and Be a Part of UN Climate Change Conference!, Deadline: 21 September 2016
The International Reporting Project (IRP) is offering up to five international reporting fellowships to cover the 2016 UN Climate Change Conference in Marrakech, Morocco.
IRP fellows selected to attend the conference will report on news and developments at COP22, particularly in the context of the goals set forth in last year’s historic agreement. Fellows may also explore regional climate change stories and participate in additional meetings and site visits organized by IRP.
Benefits
- IRP will purchase the fellows’ round-trip air tickets to Morocco and will pay for visas, hotel costs, local transportation and several group meals.
- The IRP will also arrange journalists’ press accreditation for the conference.
- Fellows who wish to extend their stay beyond the dates of the conference will have the option to arrange that at their own expense.
Eligibility Criteria
- For the COP22 trip, IRP will consider applications from any country.
- These fellowships are open to professional international journalists with significant experience coveringenvironment and climate change.
- IRP welcome applications from print and online journalists, including writers, photographers, filmmakers, radio journalists, data journalists, and others.
- This trip is not open to students.

All candidates must complete an application form and provide an essay of at least 500 words describing the narrative they would pursue at the conference via given website.
