PEPFAR/CDC: Supporting Local Indigenous Faith-Based Partners in the Republic of Guyana, Deadline: 4 October 2016
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is seeking applications for its program entitled “Supporting Local Indigenous Faith-Based Partners in Providing High Quality HIV Care,
Prevention and Treatment Services and Improving Linkage and Retention in the Republic of Guyana under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)” with an aim to provide technical assistance and funding to local indigenousorganizations to improve access to quality Antiretroviral therapy (ART) clinical services.
This opportunity seeks to build on past accomplishments in Guyana under the guidance of the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) with funding from PEPFAR. The opportunity aims to improve access to quality clinical services and contribute to an increase in coverage of antiretroviral therapy (ART). The long-term goal is an integrated care and treatment approach which improves health service delivery for people living with HIV (PLHIV) and increases access to services for key populations (KP) who seek care outside the public sector – namely transgendered (TG) persons, sex workers (SW) and men who have sex with men (MSM).
