The V. Kann Rasmussen Foundation currently seeks Letter of Inquiry (LOI) to provide support to the environmental projects. The aim of this funding is to strengthen environmental research, including
- Research on climate change,
- Unsustainable consumption, and
- Loss of biodiversity.
Thematic Areas
The Foundation funds projects based on the following:
- Ecosystems Resilience, Protection and Restoration
- Ecosystem services – research and tools of relevance to large scale geographic areas including many countries and continents
- Natural greenhouse gas sequestration and storage with large-scale impact potential
- Agro-biodiversity
- Framework of Ecological Stability
- Economic models of living within global limits and practical implementation of change to a stable global ecosystem
- Sustainable consumption, production, and land use
- Communication and Leadership
- Communicating value-based living with sustainable use of water, energy, and food resources
- New innovative initiatives to enhance international cooperation and knowledge-sharing
- Next generation leadership
Eligibility Criteria
The foundation typically supports small or midsize organizations with proven leadership in developing strategy, communicating a vision, and executing projects.
