GLA • United Kingdom: One Nation, Two Worlds

Like many developed nations, the United Kingdom has its own share of divisive issues, including how to tackle both urban and rural poverty. This may not be the United Kingdom from fairy tales, but you'll experience authentic British culture that few visitors ever see.

Community Service:
- Volunteer with organizations that help at-risk youth channel their energy into productive activities such as gardening, art, and adventure sports
- Interact with UK locals, and learn about their lives as you share in their stories
Hands-On Learning:
- Discover how London is combating issues like food waste and homelessness in innovative and exciting ways
- Experience the real London as you explore the city through the eyes of a local
Adventure:
- See Big Ben, Parliament, the world-famous Tower Bridge, and visit Brighton Beach
- Visit a stunning national park and go coasteering - a unique UK adventure - in the country

$5,000 - $10,000 (USD)
Cost Description: 
GLA programs are all-inclusive and cover everything except airfare and personal expenses (e.g. souvenirs and snacks). Specifically, fees include:
- Housing
- Meals (three full meals per day)
- Ground transportation during the program
- Entrance fees and tickets to all non-optional group excursions and activities
- Travel & health insurance
