James Dyson Award 2017 – Student Competition! Deadline: 20 July 2017

James Dyson Foundation is now accepting entries for 2017, for its annual student design competition — the James Dyson Award.
The competition is open to current and recent product design, industrial design, and engineering university students, who are invited to participate with ideas that solve problems.
One International Winner will be awarded $45,000 + $7,500 for their university. An International Runner-up and twenty-two (22) National winners will also be announced. The International Runner-up will be awarded $7,500 and each National Winner, $3,500.
The organizers are looking for designers who think differently to create products that work better. Engineers who follow an iterative design process. Rough and ready prototypes. Products that have a significant and practical purpose, are commercially viable, and are designed with sustainability in mind.
Participants from the following 22 countries are eligible to enter: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, and US.
The James Dyson Foundation is an international charity dedicated to encouraging more young people to become design engineers.
