hackUST is for entrepreneurs to come together for 24 hours and turn boldest ideas into reality. hackUST is for non-tech-savvy businessmen/women, natural and social scientists, curious learners, and passionate individuals alike.
hackUST is the platform to develop your prototype, meet entrepreneurs and industry experts, and enjoy unlimited free snacks, pizza, caffeine, and refreshments. Come join us and have the time of your life.
What will my team build?
We have three main themes each with three main topics (released on competition day) but there are absolutely no restrictions to limit your imagination. Try to be innovative and solve problems.
Who can attend?
You’re welcome to join as long as you are a university student or alumni. Don’t worry if you are not experienced enough – what matters is how fast you can learn and how willing you are to step out of your comfort zone!
How much does it cost?
None! Admission is free and includes unlimited food, drinks, a t-shirt, support, and loads of fun! We will provide vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for you – dinner, breakfast, and tons of snacks.
What should I bring?
A laptop, a charger, and a super passionate heart.
Tip: Bring a sleeping bag to grab comfortable naps during the coding marathon!
What if I don’t have a team?
Don’t worry – we have pre-hackathon activities as well as team forming sessions. Make sure to leave us your email during registration and we will let you know about the schedule of the workshops.
Will we provide hardware hacks?
We will be sending out a form surveying your hardware preferences. You are also very welcome to bring you own (e.g. Arduino, building blocks, AR/VR gear, etc).
