Call for Entries: The 5th International Reggae Poster Contest 2017,
Application Deadline: 31st January, 2017
The goal is simple: Create a poster about Reggae Music – the rest is up to your imagination. Feel free to explore themes of Reggae covering any one of the genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem. Also explores do capture the many musical pioneers, singers, producers, institutionsthat help establish the music globally. Good luck!

- Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster Entries.
- Posters should not have been published in internet, social medias etc.
A separate submission form must accompany each poster/s submitted, naming each submitted poster.
You must include on the entry form your complete and accurate information, including your e-mail address, your name from your poster Entry or Entries, a description of the submitted poster entry, and all other information requested.

Entry posters should be submitted 700×980 pixels.

Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster Entries, however, you may not submit the same entry more than once. IRPC 2016 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to restrict participation in the Contest to any person at any time for any reason and/or to disqualify any entry at any time for any reason.

About the Award: The objective of the International Reggae Poster Contest is to build awareness for positive Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its impact on the world. The term Reggae used by the contest encompasses all the popular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem.
We are looking for your talent and creative visual expressions and we are very excited to see what designers can come up with in their original poster designs that will capture the energy and the vibe of Reggae Music.
Eligibility:
Value of Contest: The 100 best posters will be selected by a jury panel comprising of design professionals and will be exhibited in our Art of Reggae exhibitions around the world. The Art of Reggae Exhibitions are curated and presented as a platform to share the vision for a Reggae Hall of Fame Museum for Kingston, Jamaica.
How to Apply:
All information should be completed in English along with a title and a brief description of the poster/s you are submitting, and your biography, a maximum of 200 words. Download the submission form here.
You don’t have to use our Reggae Hall of Fame Logo. However, here is a link to download an PDF file if you wish to use it. The file can be opened by Illustrator or Photoshop. Download logo here.
File should not exceed the 5mb.
Please name all 2 submissions (poster, submission form) as (firstname)-(last name)-for-IRPC2016.
Please avoid sending similar posters.
Each entry must be an original unpublished work that you have created that does not include material in which a third party has intellectual property rights.
Each Entry must not, in the sole discretion of the 5th IRPC 2016, be obscene, indecent, offensive, violent, hateful, or libelous, or contain any other content otherwise inconsistent with the purposes of the Reggae Poster Contest 2016 as described in these Official Rules and related materials.
In case we find your work published on Facebook, your portfolio or other social media your entry will be disqualified immediately.
Please do not enter promotional or advertising poster in the contest, these will not be accepted.
