Allan & Nesta Ferguson Trust Grants: Promoting World Peace and Development! Deadline: Ongoing
The Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust is seeking applications for funding projects to support the Trust’s interests of education, international friendship and understanding and the promotion of world peace and development.
The Trust aims to support projects both in the UK and abroad, and supports charitable organisations situated in the UK and overseas.
Funding Information
Grants will be provided within the following 3 categories:
- Organisation: The Trustees consider funding applications up to £50,000 on a monthly basis and endeavour to reply to all successful applicants within 6 weeks of receiving their applications.
- Individual Students: The maximum grant the Trustees will make is £4,000.
- Gap year student: The Trust awards grants of £300 to students embarking on a gap year. No more than 233 such grants will be made each year on a first come first served basis.
Eligibility
- For Organisation:
- All charitable organisations must be registered as a charity with the UK Charity Commission in order to be eligible for funding.
- Project should be described in not more than 150 words.
- Project must fit within the Trust’s priorities.
- It should be clear how much the project will cost in total and how much is requested from the Trust.
- For Students:
- The Trust awards grants to postgraduate PhD students, whether from overseas or from the UK, to help meet tuition costs, but only in respect of the last year of their course.
- Students must be studying at a university in the UK.
- The Trust will only provide a one-off grant to postgraduate PhD students therefore if you have received a grant previously you are not eligible to apply again, even if you require funding to help with a different course.
- The Trust does not support students undertaking a postgraduate diploma/certificate, or Masters Degree (such as an MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, MEd, Mphil, Mres).
- For Gap Year Student:
- The Trust will only provide one grant to a student embarking on an overseas gap year and therefore if you have received a grant previously you are not eligible to apply again, even if you require funding towards the cost of another gap year.
- The Trust is unable to provide funding to individuals so that you must be travelling with a recognised organisation in order to be eligible for a grant.
